Elite Breeder Of The Russian Bolonka Dog
we are Bolonki Kennel "Crown Of Curls" |
Russkaya Tsvetnaya Bolonka translates to "Russian Colored Lapdog." Bolonka dogs were originally bred to be the ultimate house pet for apartment living. Sweet, loving, intelligent, and willing to please, he is friendly to all and shows no sign of aggression. The Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka dog, or Bolonka for short, is a member of the Bichon family that was almost extinct until after the Cold War. It is a small companion dog that is hypoallergenic, funny, clever beyond words and intensely loyal to its family. Some are excellent mimics; others are content to sit by the door and monitor who is allowed in or out. Spirited, yet easy-going and sociable, the Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka dog is great with children. Although they are quick to alert, they will not be a constant barker with early training on appropriate behavior. They are fairly independent for a toy breed and require early socialization with people. However, Bolonki do get along well with dogs and other animals. Easily trained and smart, they do well in formal training such as obedience, rally, tracking and agility when trained with a firm, but gentle, hand.

It’s almost too good to be true. Alexei has only been here a few days and it’s as if he has always been a part of her lives. He’s especially sweet and seems very smart. Loves his crate and is just doing so well. I recommend Crown of Curls 100%. Catherine always answered any questions and showed us pictures of Alexei as the weeks went by. A very good experience. I also recommend this breed. Alexei is our third Russian Bolonka. This is a very loving breed. Thank you Catherine for a very special addition to our family.

We took alexei to a trainer today. The trainer was terrific and I think we learned so much. The trainer was so impressed with him and said “you got this dog from a very good breeder”. He thought Alexei was very confident. I felt that way the first time I held him myself.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know how Lizann is doing. We adopted her last March. Her little brown patches are gone and she is turning grey. It's so pretty! She is a happy girl and her tail still wags alllllll the time. She absolutely loves people and has been a real joy. We love her more than we ever thought possible.

Dear Catherine, It is hard to believe that it has been almost 6 months since we welcomed Mila (aka Nutmeg) into our family and I’m not sure how to put into words how very loved she is. She is everything that we could have hoped for in a family pet. She is the most friendly and loving dog. We all adore her and love her dearly. She is so very good with our two daughters and any kiddo that she meets. She loves to be outside and go on walks, and there isn’t a person who walks past who she doesn’t greet. Even strangers love her friendliness and she seems to bring a smile to everyone’s face. She is also very smart and has quickly learned multiple basic commands. She is always eager to please. She loves vying for our love and attention, and we certainly shower her with it. I just wanted to let you know that she is so very loved and we are so thankful that she is our pup.

He truly is the sweetest boy there is, so gentle and doesn’t really ask for much. We’ve done crate training a little bit of everyday and he hasn’t had any potty accidents after the first week. He loves his toys and anything he claims his own, he’ll take to his puppy pen (sometimes we don’t agree on everything he claims his, but he learns so quick). He knows to spin, to give paw, sit, lie down and wait. We love our little boy! Have a great start of Summer! Here’s some pictures!

Hi Catherine,I just wanted to send you a quick update on Niko. He’s doing absolutely amazing! We are so in love with him. He’s such a smart, sweet puppy and is already doing great with basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay. I’ve attached a short video of him showing off his new skills. I thought you might enjoy seeing how well he’s doing! Thanks again for such an amazing puppy. We couldn’t be happier!
